Amazon offers Zoox, a startup that develops autonomous cars. The American giant has announced that it has acquired the said startup, headed by the Senegalese Aïcha Sarr Evans.
“The cost of the acquisition remains unknown but reliable sources say that Amazon would have spent more than a billion dollars to acquire this company which would total 1,000 employees”, informs the leflymag site visited by Senego.
Within the framework of this agreement, the source informs, Zoox will continue to operate as an independent entity, under the direction of its current leaders, Aïcha Sarr Evans, CEO, and Jesse Levinson, co-founder and CTO.
